Franchise podcasts

The Internet offers wealth of knowledge if you want to learn as much as you can about franchising. You only need to look for the online resources.

One of the resources I would like to recommend is franchising podcasts.

What is podcast anyway?

Podcasts are series of digital media files (most commonly audio) that can be shared and listened to, either live or recorded. Podcasts are commonly come into life in the of online talk shows or online interviews.

I enjoy listening to podcasts on various business topics, as they are often more informative (and informal) than the written forms (blog posts) – And I do prefer listening to talk shows and seminars (webinars) more than reading blog posts, articles and journals.) Just like their written counterparts, podcasts can offer listeners a wealth of information that is available for free (with a hint of sales pitch here and there, but most don’t pitch you at all.)

Podcasts on franchising

I would like to recommend you these two franchising live podcasts from Blog Talk Radio:

Franchise Today Show

Franchise Today Show is co-hosted by two authoritative voices in franchising – Paul Segreto and Joel Libava (a.k.a. The Franchise King.) The live podcasts are so popular, they are dubbed as “The Bagel and Pasta Franchise Hour.”

Every week, Paul and Joel will talk and focus on the world of franchising, franchise blogs, news and events, including franchise opportunities review, the utilisation of social media for franchises, franchise marketing, and many more.

If you are a franchisee looking for tips to grow your franchise unit, a franchisor trying to bring your franchise business to the next level, or a small business owners looking for some insights on business growth, this podcasts are great for you.

Franchise Interviews

Franchise Interviews, hosted by Marty McDermott and Don Johnson, offers you podcasts on behind the scene of franchising. This live podcasts will offer you insights on various franchising topics, highlighting interviews with franchisees, franchisors and franchise experts.

  • Hey, thanks for the mention. Joel and I work real hard on Franchise Today to bring different perspectives and opinions on franchising. We try to make it enjoyable as well as informative for franchise professionals, franchisees and franchise candidates.

Sometimes people like what they hear and sometimes they don’t. Well, that’s what makes the world go ’round, right? Nevertheless, we call it like we see it and are not afraid to call anyone out on less than ethical practices while promoting the ones that are above board and here to stay. Sometimes it’s a fine line and sometimes the gap is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

We enjoy what we do and encourage anyone within franchising or is thinking about franchising to join us every Thursday at 1 PM CST / 2 PM EST on BlogTalkRadio. And yes, podcasts are available on-demand at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/FranchiseTodayShow.

Thanks for dropping by, Paul šŸ™‚

Yes – We all need to hear the truth, whether its pretty or ugly – Franchising are under the spotlight all the time and get blamed on franchisees failure. Some franchisors are darn unethical, but the franchisees should responsible, too, for their action – Your show sheds some light and help us spot the bad guys.
